UK Country Music Awards 'Group of the Year' for 5 years (2021-2025 inc)
The UK’s number 1 Country Rock act, The Heartland Roots Band, look set to remain at the vanguard of their genre.
The group have now been honoured with the UK Country Music Awards ‘Group of the Year’ for 5 years straight (2021-2025 inc), which is unprecedented in any category. At the 2023 awards they also won ‘UK Country Album Of The Year’, with ‘Something Better’.
Well over 20 chart singles (including 4 number 1’s), and well over 2 million online streams, demonstrate why HRB have built a genuine worldwide fan base. Quite an accomplishment for an independent act! The snowball is really growing as at the end of 2025 the band’s monthly Spotify figure reached 10.6k.
In the last few years, the group have built a reputation for dynamic live shows, and have been invited to perform at high-profile festivals such as: Carfest, The Long Road, The Big Feastival, LakeFest, Weyfest, Y-Fest, Rock n Ribs Festival, Walled Garden Music Festival, Country on The Coast, Riverside Festival, Chagstock, Folk in A Field, and many others. Their 2023 highlight was an unforgettable performance to close the Saturday night at the British Country Music Festival weekend in the Empress Ballroom, The Winter Gardens, Blackpool.
The Leicester-based 6 piece cook-up a very unique British take on the familiar Contemporary Country recipe, and have ingredients as diverse as Blue-Eyed Soul, Folk, Blues Rock; plus out-and-out Pop music flavours simmering in the melting pot at all times.
With their new album ‘Starcrossed’ released on 31/7/25 (it entered in the Top 10 of the Apple iTunes Country Chart, ultimately reaching number 8) and bookings to play a number of big shows this year, the popularity of the band goes from strength to strength.
